He believes that an artist's development suffers when surrounded only by "yes men," as there is no room for improvement. Patralekhaa, he revealed, never hesitates to tell him if she doesn't like a film or performance, a quality he values deeply. This candid feedback, according to Rao, is essential for evolving as an actor.
