Jammu & Kashmir saw Srinagar reach 32.7°C, the highest in a decade, and Qazigund hit 34°C, an all-time high for May. Himachal Pradesh also faced extreme heat, with Shimla at 31.7°C, the highest since 2012, and Sundernagar over 40°C.
