EC rejects oppn demand, says postal ballots will be counted simultaneously
The Election Commission on Monday turned down the INDIA bloc's request to return to the old system of counting postal ballots before the final round of EVM counting. The EC clarified that changing the counting rules midway was not feasible. The Chief Election Commissioner explained that in most constituencies, the number of postal ballots was relatively low.
