2 bird sanctuaries from Bihar added under Ramsar convention list
India has recently included two bird sanctuaries from Bihar in its roster of wetlands of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. This achievement elevates India to a joint third place with China, each having 82 sites on the global list. The United Kingdom currently holds the top spot with 175 sites, followed by Mexico with 144.
